Innocence
when all others cry foul
Innocence
the Original Self
not the summation of historical antecedents
but something Primal
abide in what endures
Proclaim Innocence
settle not for less

some people say
we are born in original sin
but the accuracy of that
lies
in some doubt
i'm more certain of
Original Self
that accompanies us
from beginning to end

when we exchange glances
wouldn't it be better to see
what God sees
when he looks
at you and me

as long as we're
putting first things first
lets take a look-see
at the Original Lie

are we first and
foremost
mortal, material
beings
spirits trapped within
or
are we not spiritual
entities
manifesting in physical form

...nothing as compelling
as Truth
